More recently, as National head of the Mid-Market Financial Sponsors Group for a major Canadian bank, Richard has facilitated, and funded more than 100 successful Leveraged Buyouts (LBO) of Canadian mid-market businesses.
Richard is highly experienced working with private and public companies, financial institutions, private investment groups, Family Offices and Private Equity firms across Canada and the US. Throughout his 30+ year career, he has honed a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing small and mid-sized companies and their owners.
Today Richard specializes in helping business owners assess and quantify a desired wealth diversification strategy, focusing mainly on owners looking to sell a meaningful, (minority/majority) equity interest in their companies, all the while retaining operational control.
